Δρ. Βαλεντίνη Κωνσταντινίδου

Η Δρ. Βαλεντίνη Κωνσταντινίδου είναι κάτοχος Διδακτορικού Διπλώματος Βιοιατρικής (PhD in Biomedicine) από το Πανεπιστήμιο Pompeu Fabra της Βαρκελώνης, Ισπανίας (2010) και κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος εξειδίκευσης στην Βιοιατρική Έρευνα από το ίδιο Πανεπιστήμιο. Είναι επίσης απόφοιτος Τεχνολογίας Τροφίμων της σχολής Τεχνολογίας Τροφίμων και Διατροφής, του Τ.Ε.Ι. Αθήνας. Έχει υπάρξει κάτοχος της Ευρωπαικής υποτροφίας Leonardo da Vinci κατά τη διάρκεια των προπτυχιακών της σπουδών και υπότροφος του ΙΚΥ καθόλη τη διάρκεια των μεταπτυχιακών και διδακτορικών της σπουδών.

 

Κατά τη διάρκεια των διδακτορικών και μετα-διδακτορικών της σπουδών εξειδικεύτηκε στο χώρο της διατροφογενετικής και διατροφογενομικής. Το ιδιαίτερο επιστημονικό της ενδιαφέρον επικεντρώνεται στη μοριακή επεξήγηση και κατανόηση των προστατευτικών και ωφέλιμων ιδιοτήτων, που η κατανάλωση ελαιόλαδου και η τήρηση Μεσογειακής διατροφής προσφέρουν στην προστασία από διατροφο-εξαρτώμενες παθήσεις, όπως ο διαβήτης, η παχυσαρκία και τα καρδιοαγγειακά νοσήματα. Τα πρώτα ερευνητικά της αποτελέσματα αποτέλεσαν πρωτοποριακά ευρύματα στο χώρο της διατροφογενομικής και συγκέντρωσαν την προσοχή διεθνών μέσων επιστημονικής ενημέρωσης.

 

Η Δρ. Βαλεντίνη Κωνσταντινίδου έχει πραγματοποιήσει μεταδιδακτορική έρευνα στις ερευνητικές ομάδες κορυφαίων επιστημόνων και ειδικών ανά τον κόσμο και τα αποτελέσματα της έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε διεθνή επιστημονικά συνέδρια και έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε πληθώρα έγκριτων επιστημονικών επιθεωρήσεων. Είναι επίσημο μέλος της European Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ESLM) και Πρέσβειρα της ESLM στην Ισπανία καθώς και μέλος του Αμερικανικού Συλλόγου Διατροφής (ASN).

 

Είναι τακτικός αρθρογράφος σε περιοδικά και μέσα ενημέρωσης για το ευρύ κοινό στην ελληνική, ισπανική και αγγλική γλώσσα καθώς επίσης και προσκεκλημένη εισηγήτρια σε μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα Δημόσιων και Ιδιωτικών Πανεπιστημίων και ερευνητικών κέντρων της Ισπανίας. Γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα και τα τελευταία χρόνια ζεί και εργάζεται στην Ισπανία όπου αφιερώνεται στην προώθηση και εφαρμογή της διατροφογενετικής γνώσης για την πρόληψη καρδιοαγγειακών παθήσεων, προάσπιση της υγείας και εξασφάλισης υγιούς γήρανσης.

Dr. Maria Isabel Covas, Nuproas HB

Dr. Maria-Isabel Covas, PhD in Biochemistry and specialist in Clinical Chemistry is the Scientific Advisor of NUPROAS HB. NUPROAS Handesbolag (NUPROAS HB) is a Swedish company focused on providing the best assessment and services for achieving nutritional goals related to the improvement of health. Formerly, Dr. Maria-Isabel Covas has been Head of the Cardiovascular Risk and Nutrition Research Group of the Research Institute Hospital del Mar (IMIM), (www.imim.es) in Barcelona, Spain until 2013.She has also served as Head of a Research Group in the CIBER of Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBEROBN), a Spanish Network of Excellence and as Deputy Head of the Clinical Laboratories in Hospital del Mar and Hospital de la Esperanza both in Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Maria-Isabel Covas has been the Principal Investigator in more than 15 competitive national and international fund-rising calls and she is author of more than 200 original scientific articles published in indexed, peer-reviewed journals. She was the coordinator of the European Study: ¨The effect of olive oil on oxidative damage in European populations, The EUROLIVE Study¨ (QLK1-CT-2001-00287) funded under the European FP5 Program (2002-2006). The EUROLIVE study resulted in an EFSA health claim regarding olive oil phenolic compounds consumption and protection of human LDL from oxidation. She has also been the Area Coordinator and member of the Steering Committee of the PREDIMED Study (www.predimed.es),the first intervention study that proved the effect of the traditional Mediterranean diet on the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Elena Giordano

Dr. Elena Giordano obtained a B.Sc.Hons. in Biological Sciences at the University of Cagliari, Italy (2003) and she undertook her PhD studies in the Department of Experimental Biology at University of Cagliari, Italy (2007). Elena obtained a PhD in Morphological Science, with a thesis in Nutritional Biochemistry and Physiology in 2011. As part of her PhD training, she had the opportunity to work at the Food Science Department of Rutgers University, NJ, (USA), where she was able to develop her skills and abilities in the field of molecular biology and physiology and to study gene-nutrient interactions and modulation of gene expression by different nutrients.

 

In October 2011 Elena joined IMDEA Food in Madrid, and she worked with Prof. Francesco Visioli at the Functional Food section, as Postdoctoral Fellow, co-funded by the Amarout-Marie Curie European Programme, until December 2013. Elena led two main research projects in the field of gene-nutrient interactions, (specifically polyphenols of the Mediterranean diet) associated to cardiovascular diseases, obesity and osteoporosis. The “Marie Curie Amarout” fellowship gave her the opportunity to develop her ideas in nutritional biochemistry, nutrigenomics and metabolism. Elena’s current job as a nutritionist has enabled her to develop valuable and transferable skills into practical and evidence-based advice, including customized recipes to improve wellbeing, health and life quality. As part of her private work she provides full nutritional screening, through questionnaires, anthropometric measurements, Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), Tanita scale and nutrigenetic tests for highly personalized nutritional plans, based on genetic information, lifestyle, socio-economic background, food and nutrient deficiencies.

Dr. Blanca Ribot

La Dra. Blanca Ribot, se diplomó en Nutrición Humana y Dietética en la Universitat Rovira i Virgili (España) en el año 2006. Posteriormente continuó sus estudios con un Máster en Nutrición y Metabolismo en la misma universidad, año 2009, al mismo tiempo que iniciaba su doctorado en el departamento de Ciencias Médicas Básicas de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili. La Dra. Ribot defendió su tesis doctoral en 2012 titulada «Estado en Hierro de la madre en relación con sus niveles iniciales y la pauta de suplementación con hierro. Efecto sobre la salud materno-filial» por la que obtuvo mención internacional y la calificación de Excelente Cum Laude. Como parte de su formación dentro del programa de doctorado internacional tuvo la oportunidad de realizar una estancia de 6 meses en el centro de investigación Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI), en California (Estados Unidos).

 

Desde 2007 ha trabajado como docente en la diplomatura y el grado de Nutrición Humana y Dietética de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili, así como en el máster en Nutrición y Metabolismo. Desde el 2013 es investigadora postdoctoral dentro del grupo de investigación en Nutrición y Salud Mental (NUTRISAM) liderado por la Dra Victoria Arija y la Dra Josepa Canals. La Dra Ribot ha publicado varios artículos en revistas científicas, indexadas, nacionales e internacionales, y ha presentado sus resultados científicos en numerosos congresos. Desde 2013 ha compaginado su trabajo de investigación con el de dietista de restauración colectiva ejerciendo tareas de supervisión de menús, elaboración de dietas especiales y asesoramiento nutricional a los profesionales que lo solicitasen.

 

La Dra. Ribot está colegiada en el Colegio Oficial de Dietistas-Nutricionistas de Catalunya (España) (núm. CAT000155) y trabaja en consulta privada realizando valoraciones nutricionales y antropométricas a partir de las cuales realiza dietas personalizadas, favoreciendo un óptimo estado de salud de las personas.

Natalia Molina Álvarez

Natalia Molina está licenciada en Psicología Clínica y Criminología por la Universidad de Barcelona (1986)  y colegiada en el Colegio de Psicólogos de Cataluña (COPC, No 18336).

 

Ha realizado el postgrado en Mediación Familiar, por la Fundación Doctor Robert (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) y se ha formado en diversas áreas de las terapias complementarias como la Terapia Breve Estratégica, como en el Desarrollo Personal Life-Coaching por el COPC, aportando el valor añadido diferencial como Coach que puede aportar a la praxis en los diversos ámbitos de intervención. Tiene formación en TIPI (Terapia de identificación Sensorial de los miedos inconscientes) y en Hipnosis.

 

También, Natalia Molina tiene amplia experiencia laboral como Psicoterapeuta y durante un largo periodo ha participado y coordinado estudios nutricionales de intervención en el Instituto Municipal de Investigación Médica (IMIM) en Barcelona, siendo el más representativo el estudio español PREDIMED (Prevención con la Dieta Mediterránea) así como otros relacionados con la Salud.
